1-on-1

One player. One problem. Solved properly.

A GCS individual programme is built around a single cricketer, error correction, exhaustive practice to international standards, and comprehensive work across every area of their game.

Common focus areas

Bring us the thing that keeps getting you out.

Error correction

A technical diagnosis on day one, then deliberate repetition until the fault stops reappearing under fatigue.

Playing spin

Sustained exposure to quality off-spin and leg-spin on turning surfaces, the single most requested block at GCS.

Pace & bounce

Short-ball method, back-foot play and trigger movements against genuine pace on hard wickets.

Bowling craft

Seam position, wrist, variations and the ability to repeat a plan for six balls under pressure.

Keeping & fielding

Standing-up work to spin, low takes on abrasive surfaces, and close-catching volume.

Match method

Building an innings or a spell against field settings, targets and scoreboard pressure.

How a block runs

Five stages, one player.

  1. 01

    Diagnosis

Video, conversation and a session of observation before any change is made.

  2. 02

    Plan

A written block with daily objectives, agreed with the player and their home coach.

  3. 03

    Volume

Net bowlers on demand, the practice load simply isn't available at most home clubs.

  4. 04

    Transfer

Centre-wicket and match exposure to prove the change holds outside the net.

  5. 05

    Handover

A written report and a digital continuation plan for the player's home environment.

Bespoke batting block

County Women Players

Mumbai, India

Two England county women travelled to Mumbai to sharpen their batting beyond the confines of their home ground. Every day was dedicated to rigorous drills against formidable pace and spin net bowlers. A renowned coach from a premier Mumbai club was brought in, accelerating skill development and adaptation to subcontinent surfaces, and equipping both players with techniques to navigate spin effectively.

Individual programme

Not merely a trip but a strategic move to hone batting and bowling, he refined technique against spin and pace on subcontinent pitches, navigating the nuances of each delivery with adaptability and resilience.

Individual programme

Lewis McManus, First-class Cricketer

Mumbai, India

After the block

The correction doesn't survive on memory alone.

Every 1-on-1 player leaves with a personalised digital plan, the same drills, cues and conditioning, sequenced for their home week, and reviewable by their coach.
