Ahead of the World Cup Qualifiers, the 14-member Hong Kong squad spent a week on skill enhancement, strategic refinement and match readiness. The programme featured centre-wicket sessions, scenario-based drills and full match simulation designed to replicate international standards. Seamless logistics, expert local support and access to top-tier facilities created the environment for elite performance.

GCS welcomed the ECB Women's team to the cricket capital. The players worked through batting drills against spin and pace under the watchful eyes of ECB and local coaches. The pinnacle was a match simulation on one of South Mumbai's iconic pitches, batting against specific field settings and chasing targets within a set number of deliveries. ECB coaches monitored progress throughout so no development opportunity went unnoticed.
Lonavala & Pune, India
The Glamorgan girls travelled to Lonavala, a scenic hill station in Maharashtra known for its climate and natural beauty. Under coach Amie Ries, structured side-net and centre-wicket sessions sharpened skills and built team discipline. The cool, peaceful setting proved ideal for focused practice and bonding, with a day in Pune blending tradition and modern life into the trip.

In January, Mumbai's cricket scene comes alive, from local ground matches to structured training. The Lancashire women's team came to polish their game. Led by their coaches, they worked through practice and match-simulation sessions, ensuring every member, from bowlers to batters to keepers, was actively developed across the board.

Under coach Danny Hazel's guidance and meticulously planned sessions, the players honed skills against diverse bowling styles on subcontinent pitches. Lisa Sthalekar, former Australian women's captain, joined to share her guidance and expertise, and the squad embraced the festivities of Holi alongside their cricket.
